Home for the holidays

I flew in safe and sound late last night. I had quite a bit of anxiety. I'm not afraid of flying, but I just had a whole lot of general unease haha. All is well though. Last night I just went through a bunch of my things that I left behind and today was spent thrift store treasure hunting with my mom. Tonight I'm going bowling with old coworkers and then hanging out with a good friend. It's great to be back to spend time with family and friends! One thing I have to complain about is....it's COLD! I heard I just missed the nice weather! Just to warm things up, here are a couple photos I took this summer while living in Ontario. There's PLENTY of time for winter holiday photos! Not quite ready yet.

Have a happy Friday!

Karl Blossfeldt (June 13, 1865 – December 9, 1932)

Karl Blossfeldt was a sculpture, instructor and self taught photographer. With a homemade camera, he photographed thousands of plants in various forms of decay. His photographs are probably the most beautiful botanical images I've ever seen.

"The plant never lapses into mere arid functionalism; it fashions and shapes according to logic and suitability, and with its primeval force compels everything to attain the highest artistic form." - Karl Blossfeldt
